Settling into Santa Monica

Now that the doors are open and we're settling into our new space on Montana in Santa Monica (1318A - come by!), we're getting to know our neighbors and quickly figuring out our favorites. We may be the new kids on the block, but I wanted to share with you some of my local discoveries that are making my time spent on the Westside, time spent very well. CVSantaMonica-041-lo (I was thrilled that my friend Amanda Marsalis was able to capture the first photos. And I die for those Hollyflora peonies peeking out in the background.) My Must-Visit Santa Monica List: Kreation, 1023 Montana Avenue: Sometimes a girl just needs a juice fix and Kreation has some of the best, with even better food. Primo Passo Coffee, 702 Montana Avenue: Everyone in the studio can attest to my daily dose of espresso. Primo Passo has really good brews and is perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up. Sleepy Jones, 1318B Montana Avenue: We opened at the same time as our friends, Sleepy Jones, and even have a window that joins our two spaces together. I'm addicted to their PJs and their silliness. R+D Kitchen, 1323 Montana Avenue: From the Hillstone Group, R+D is a great go-to for a reliably delicious lunch or dinner with friends. Whole Foods, 1425 Montana Avenue: Having a Whole Foods this close to the store is so awesome - might sound banal, but working close to WF has been a game changer. Fresh sushi or wraps for quick lunches, fresh fruits for snacks within a quick jaunt is it. Father's Office, 1018 Montana Avenue: Some say it's the best burger in town and I think I may have to agree. It's pretty darn near perfect. Fireside Cellars, 1421 Montana Avenue: I love that they've been around for decades. Brenda Himmel Stationery, 1126 Montana Avenue: I love a handwritten card as much as the next, and this store has a beautiful selection of cards and stationery. Palmetto, 1034 Montana Avenue: I could spend hours in here, sampling products and browsing their well-edited selection of organic beauty. Aero Theater, 1328 Montana Avenue: One of my favorite places in the city to see a movie - a classic old school cinematic experience at its best.
