Last year, I had the privilege of being accepted as a new member of the CFDA. The Council of Fashion Designers of America is a wonderful organization that supports American designers through partnerships and mentorship. So I was incredibly honored when they asked me to participate in Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, a charity initiative of the CFDA that raises awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer. We decided to create this cream quilted flat clutch with the FTBC logo printed on the lining seen below in a few pics from my Instagram. Breast cancer: the second leading cause of death in women and, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with it! What a terrible scourge on society. I know it sounds so obvious, but sometimes, doesn't it just make you so angry that they haven't found a way to eradicate this darn disease yet! They. I don't mean to blame them, I know researchers are working tirelessly to find a cure. And while I'm not a scientist who can assist on the front lines of that battle, I am a woman who makes bags and sells them to women, so I'm thrilled to be able to help fund the battle - the fight against this pandemic (w/ the help of the CFDA) - in the hopes that one day our daughters will live in a world without it. xcv
